Professor dr. Adrian Ivan

The head of the Doctoral School graduated from the Faculty of History and Philosophy, “Babeș-Bolyai” University. He holds a diploma in advanced studies in contemporary history and international relations from the same faculty as well as a diploma in advanced studies in European studies from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

Adrian Ivan holds the title of Doctor in International Relations, with the thesis “State, Majority and National Minority in Romania (1919-1930). A Case Study of Hungarians and Germans in Transylvania, 2003”.

His areas of research and expertise are international relations and security studies, national and ethnic minorities in the international relations, security policy analysis, and European and international governance.

He is currently a professor at “Babeș-Bolyai” University, Faculty of History, and president of the Standing Expert Commission in the field of social, political, and communication sciences – ARACIS.
