ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. NICULAE IANCU

Rector of “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy since 2013, he graduated from the Military Technical Academy of Bucharest (ATM), 1996 promotion. He earned an M.A. in security studies from the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, and a doctoral degree from ATM.

In his 20 years of activity, he has published various articles in journals specializing in military science and security studies, focused on public policy and good governance, diplomacy and inter-institutional cooperation in military systems. Throughout his activity, Niculae Iancu has been director and member of several work teams that won projects in scientific research and technological development competitions.

He is currently a member of the editorial board of the Romanian Intelligence Studies Review and International Journal of Intelligence Ethics and has served in various capacities with teams organizing national and international scientific events.

Niculae Iancu has carried out his activity in international military cooperation and strategic planning, having relevant expertise on NATO issues, multinational operations, as well as on public policies in areas such as security and defence or education and scientific research. He also served as advisor to the director of the Romanian Intelligence Service.
