poza-workshop1

Between 28 and 29 September 2015, the ”Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy organized the workshop called ”Countering Hybrid Threats: Lessons Learned from Ukraine”, in collaboration with ”Bogdan Intemeietorul” National Intelligence and Security Institute from the Republic of Moldova. The workshop was held under the aegis of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program.

The participants’ contributions to the event were later brought together in a single volume, bearing the same title as the workshop, which was published by the IOS Press publishing house from the Netherlands.

The 28 articles from the volume explore the nature of the Ukrainian conflict, as well as the dynamics of the evolution of security threats in the Central and South Eastern Europe, aiming at identifying both the key-factors of the conflict, and the most effective tools and methods of solving this particular type of acute manifestation of insecurity.

The volume provides an exploratory insight of recent events and appeals to those who want to deepen their knowledge about hybrid war and conflict solving. It is organized in four chapters, as it follows: Hybrid War Challenges – Multiple Perspectives, Hybrid War – An Old Concept with an Exhaustive Dimension, Countering the Hybrid War – Lessons Learned from Ukraine, Implications of the Ukrainian Conflict upon the Regional and Euro-Atlantic Security.
